Ang Thong: Islands, Snorkeling & the Emerald Lake

In the morning, you are collected from your hotel and transferred to the pier.
You then board a shared speedboat and set out towards Mu Ko Ang Thong Marine National Park, an archipelago scattered across the waters of the Gulf of Thailand.

As you travel through the park, limestone formations, sheltered coves and densely vegetated islands shape the landscape.
Your first stop is near Koh Wao or Koh Tai Plow, where time is set aside for snorkeling and discovering the colourful marine life beneath the surface.
Continue to Koh Mae Ko, home to one of the park’s most distinctive natural sights: Talay Nai, the Emerald Lake. This enclosed saltwater lagoon lies among the limestone hills and can be admired from a viewpoint reached by climbing a series of steps.

A Thai lunch is then served.

The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure, giving you time to enjoy the white-sand beach, swim in the warm waters or simply relax and take in the island surroundings.
At approximately 3:00 pm, the speedboat departs the islands and returns to Koh Samui, where a shared transfer takes you back to your hotel.
Meal included: lunch

Our on-the-ground commitments

At Hilaire Expériences, we place particular care in the way each journey is conceived and delivered on the ground.

We favour local partners who share a more responsible approach to travel, with particular attention paid to preserving the environments we visit, respecting local communities and ensuring that tourism contributes positively to the destinations in which we operate.

A number of our experiences are operated by partners working in accordance with recognised standards such as Travelife and ChildSafe, with a continued focus on managing their environmental and social impact responsibly.

We are also progressively reducing the use of single-use plastics across selected programmes. Wherever possible, disposable bottles are being replaced by refillable solutions and drinking-water refill points available in hotels and aboard our vehicles.
