Chalong Bay: Sugar-Cane Rum & Mixology

Phuket → Chalong Bay Rum Distillery

Your driver meets you in the lobby of your hotel in Phuket and takes you by private vehicle to Chalong Bay Rum Distillery.
Upon arrival, you are welcomed by the distillery team and introduced to the experience.
The visit begins with an introduction to the history of rum in Phuket and the production process at Chalong Bay. During an approximately thirty-minute guided visit, you discover the main stages involved in transforming locally grown sugar cane into rum, from distillation through to bottling.
The supplier specifies that the distillery uses a traditional French still and locally grown sugar cane presented as sustainably cultivated.
You then move on to the practical part of the experience.
During a hands-on rum cocktail workshop, you learn to mix your own creations with guidance from the team on site.
The experience concludes with time to enjoy the cocktails you have prepared in the relaxed atmosphere of the distillery.
Your driver then takes you back to your hotel.
Experience duration: approximately 2 hours
Important: the distillery is closed on certain alcohol-restriction days, including some Buddhist holidays.

Cancellation policy

We understand that travel plans may occasionally change. Cancellation fees are calculated according to the date on which the cancellation is received prior to the start of the experience:

More than 30 days before arrival: 25% of the total amount
29 to 16 days before arrival: 35% of the total amount
15 to 9 days before arrival: 50% of the total amount
8 to 3 days before arrival: 75% of the total amount
Less than 2 days before arrival: 100% of the total amount

Should a guest choose to interrupt or leave the experience once it has begun, any unused services will be non-refundable.

In the exceptional event that an experience must be cancelled by one of our local partners due to unforeseen circumstances preventing its proper operation, all amounts paid for the affected experience will be refunded in full. No additional compensation may, however, be claimed.

We are also progressively reducing the use of single-use plastics across selected programmes. Wherever possible, disposable bottles are being replaced by refillable solutions and drinking-water refill points available in hotels and aboard our vehicles.
